Centerfire has designed the current yagi/beam antennas with a direct coax cable connection that uses 2 ring terminals. We do this for two reasons:
1) It keeps the cost of the antenna lower by passing this part of the antenna assembly onto the antenna user.
2) This method allows the antenna user to customize the antenna to their particular needs. You can create and install a short section of coax with the RF connector of your choice or you can simply attach your full length section of coax cable between your antenna and transceiver.
Ring terminal installation is a fast, easy crimp. You can also solder them onto your coax. Be sure to follow the ring terminal installation directions exactly. Detailed information is provided with your antenna or can be found here: www.centerfireantenna.com/ringterminals.html
